I have been on several birding trips with Captain Jay McGowen, and have never been disappointed. His intimate knowledge of the St. John’s River, Merritt Island, and surrounding water-ways, assures great viewing of common birds of this area. Safety is high on his priority list, as is insuring that an entertaining day will be enjoyed by all participants.

Mid February of 2007 was unseasonably cold after a very strong frontal system moved thru Florida, not what you would call good fishing weather. Even though the fish were sluggish we caught some beautiful fish and had a blast! Captain Jay not only put us on the fish, but gave us a wild life tour to boot! Captain Jay is warm, friendly and full of character. We recommend him to both novice and experienced fishermen alike. Hopefully, we will get to go fishing with him again soon!

Thank you again Captain Jay.

Our fishing trip with Captain Jay provided us with great memories. Jay is a great fisherman as well as a great person. I cannot think of a better way to spend a day than fishing with Capt. Jay.

I have fished with Jay in Florida, Maine and Montana. Not only is Jay a skilled fishing guide but he is an interesting and engaging companion from whom I always learn something new not only about fishing but also about life.

I can think of all kinds of nice things to say but will limit myself!!!

I have taken several birding boat trips with Jay in Florida. He is very knowledgable about birds, wildlife and the outdoors in general - both in Maine and in Florida. Jay always has a story to tell andhas a great sense of humor. I would recommend him to anyone.

Good luck with your website. Wish Barb would join us sometime.
